The Perfect Game

I'm pretty obsessed with World of Warcraft. I'll admit it. However there is one thing that you should note about me playing that game. I can stop playing whenever I want to. Sure, that's a defense that many drug addicts use, but it's 100% true. I've grinded my way up to level 60, and there's much more to see in the game, but I could stop playing tomorrow if another game came along.

Let's talk about the alpha game, the game that would completely destroy my social life, ruin my job and lead me down a hopless path ending with me finally colapsing, dead from not eating.

But first, let's talk about the games that make up the primal essences of the Alpha Game.

Starflight: Probbably the FIRST game to coin the genre "Space Adventure" I first played the this game on the Sega Genesis, which improved on the PC version with much better graphics, and Arcade style controls. However, it got all the important stuff right. There are HUNDEREDS of solar systems to explore, each with its own set of planets, each planet has unique, and I'm pretty sure randomly-generated terrain. You could spend days of real time exploring these systems, mining for resources, and cataloguing which planets are suitable for colonization. However, if you did that, you'd be missing out on the overarching plot with a sinister twist.

The main thing to take with you from this game is SCOPE, and the plot brings out the detective in you.

Elements we take from this game for the Alpha Game: Huge Game Universe, Every area unique.
