Penny Arcade has manage to nicely sum up almost everything mean I've ever said to Aaron over the years, or at least the recuring trend. Take a Look.
As for gaming news, I recently discovered a new online game that is undergoing a "free trial/beta test" phase similar to Ragnarok online back in the day. It's a pretty hefty download, so I how it's a pretty decent game.
Also, in about 5 minutes, Blizzard is opening up applications to beta test Worlds of Warcraft! So what are you witing for?
Well this is a farewell dedication to my friends Rob and Aaron. No they're not dead, but as we speak, they are probably aboard a bus headed God knows where to begin their basic training and beginning their career in the army.
Groups of friends eventually break up, it always happens. The only friends that stay together through high school, college, and beyond, exist purely on TV. I've had to deal with sort of thing from the other side before, and it sucks. I suppose sub-consciously that I resent you guys a little for completely ruining my social life, who will I go to parties with now? Not Andy, that's almost a given.
But again, you're not dead, no matter what left wing enthusiasts say about the army. At any rate, I extend this offer to you, when you get back from basic, all tough, and but mere hollow shells of what you used to be, I will personally see to it that you will get so drunk that the psychological scars of boot camp will fade away. That's what friends are for.
As the departure time (for military service) rapidly approaches, I am nostalgicly reminded about the people I knew. I have spent a short 20 years on this planet, and yet, I have met (and hopefully touched the lives of) more people than I can remember. The following is a short trip of nostalgia, which is mostly for me but you might also find interesting.

I have met several unique and interesting individuals in the course of my life. These blurbs are a shout-out to them and a rememberance of the way they touched my life.
I knew a man...
...who would say, "Let's kick it in the a__" when refering to speeding up
...who could do a standing backflip
...who could pretend to fight dinosaurs, and still look cool
...who owned a mansion
...whose own life was a wreck but he stood up for me
...who could calculate the speed of the bus with nothing but his watch and the passing trees
...who said, "It's like havin' ___ with a thirteen-year-old. You can put it in there, but ain't nothin' gonna happen."
...who lent me a thousand dollars and never asked for it back
...who told me, "I saw those in the War."
...who a co-worker was afraid of
...who caught me playing video games on company time
...who said, "I want to hug you, but I shouldn't because I'm gay."
...whose mother's authentic Thai food tasted good but burned the hair off your chest it was so spicy
...who joined the Navy
...who said, "You want me to kick his a__ for you?", and meant it
...who had the guts, determination, or the crazies, to up an join the military with me
...who caused a scene in Perkins at 3 in the A.M. when we went there drunk and st___d
...who would laugh at me, not with me
...who is older than me but has yet to show an interest in women
...who would laugh with me, not at me
...who hit college in '02 and is still recovering (from the parties)
...who would come to work (at Wal-Mart) high as a kite and talk about things that didn't exsist
...who told me to make "an 18th-level character"
...who wouldn't know talent if it bit him in the a__
...who was driving my car without a licence when the officer stopped us
...who introduced me to bull shots, which come up twice as quickly as they go down
...who invited me to a houseparty, but even though he invited me, he didn't know what a houseparty was
...who would host "parties" that rapidly devolved into "spin the bottle"
...who could dance
...who could NOT dance
...who could not dance, but thought that he could
...who sold me a bottle of 1914 Gold Medal Jack Daniels, I still owe him 50 bucks
...who, on the roadie home, said the immortal words, "Dude, sometimes, ...I be dumb."
...who, like you the reader, deserves mention here, but doesn't get that reward
...who would say, "Boom! You're done!"
Well there's a new review in the games section. First I'd like to point out that this is my first time writing a review for anything. So I was a little nervious about having the thing posted on a dot.com site. (Yes even one as small as this one...) But in the end I think that I did a pretty good job for a noob like me. So head on over to the reviews and check out SSX 3.
I see that the Grand Master has finally reopened the video game review section. Great! Now I can... oh, wait, I leave for military service in two days. Anyways, if you're into manga: Blade of the Immortal, if you're into anime: GTO (stands for Great Teacher Onizuka) is an excellent comedy on only 10 dvds, if you're into video games: Soul Calibur 2 (and my Ivy can beat Brandon's Talim, don't believe the hype), and if you're into rock&roll: Bon Jovi. I've said my piece.

iTunes, Rapsody, Napster 2.0, MusicMatch, and whatever other pay music download services at out there.
I'm here to tell you that they all suck horribly.
I've just started using the kick-ass allofmp3.com, a Russian music site that gets you your music at an incredibly cheap price. just $.01 per megabyte! Basically it’s like this, you pick the song you want, then you get to pick the file type (Mp3,AAC,OGG, or WMA) and then the quality, and whatever the final size of the song is you pay $.01 per meg. So I get a song with NO DRM, encoded at 320kbps for $.12, whereas someone using iTunes pays $.99 for the same song encoded much lower. Their music catalog is huge too! I'm only put down $5.00 and I've downloaded two whole albums at 320kbps! I'm in heaven!
Ok, I tried to make joke about politics. Realized I couldn't. Broke down and wept for- no, wait, I just didn't have enough knowledge of the subject matter. Then I realized who the candidates are. Broke down and wept. Still weeping. Shout me out tomorrow or something. Maybe I'll be ok after a bottle of 1914 Gold Medal Jack Daniels and a pack of smokes.

Alright, stuff is finally coming together!
Before I get any further, here is the link to log-in for news posts:
As far as the website is concerned, I promise that the review section will be done by friday, seriously.
And I am now even more officially broke.
And thus ends the news.
Oh God help me! I'm tweaking out! A new energy drink has altered my perceptions of time and space! So large...
And I just know I'm probbably not going to sleep tonight.
Just took a brows into the web logs to see what search terms are leading people to this site, it't pretty interesting, let's take a look:

Hmm... All right, yeah, I know the Mame section is drawing a lot of traffic right now. But I'm not sure if I should be embarrassed or flattered because people are ending up here because of 5 year old artwork. Hmm, No I'm definitely embarrassed. I should probably take that section down someday.

November:
1 1 50.00% laws anime
2 1 50.00% unbiased game reviews
Hmm, prior to this, the site was still going under reconstruction, so search engines didn't have access to it. But it's official; at least 3 people have come here specifically for the game reviews! If that's not motivation to get my ass in gear, I don't know what is!
Uh oh. I've been bitten by the coding bug. This happens every one in a while, usually when I've been introduced to some new piece of software. Most of the time, my coding binges result in something trivial, and only really useful to me. Like a multisided dice roller written in java or orther wastes of time like that.
This time it's different. A friend has introduced me to Codewarrior for Palm, and I aslo have been itching to get started writing an emulator of some sort.
God help me..
Well Happy New Year, dear readers. I hope you had a good one regardless of whether or not you were too drunk to remember it.
I would have posted sooner, but in reality this year my celebrations started on the 30th of January and continued until just last night. It was a New Year's Party that later tuned into a farewell party for a friend who is shipping out to join the Navy tomorrow.
So while I have indeed been partying hard, or something my website shall not suffer! Seriously, after I get some sleep, I'll finally commit those updates I've been yakking about.
