I'll admit it, I'm a star wars fan. There I've said it. Now shut up until I'm done.
I'm twenty-one years old in simpler terms, I'm half-dead. Everyone eventually becomes a zombie around forty, didn't you know that?
I'm tired of being spoon-fed the things I like. It's frustrating that star wars universe, even when written by some damn good authors, remains sterile. Everyone's a good guy, nobody says fuck or shit or bitch. Nobody gets rightously pissed off. Nobody ever has any sex! Why not? Even Han Solo was digitally remastered into a defensive guy, rather than a cut-throught. Why? Sure, I can accept most of this as being required in the movies, but why are the books so damn clean? The reading level is high enough on these books that I don't think you'd get in trouble with young people reading them. Hell I remember the required reading back in sixth grade having a requisite amount of fornication, and that's literature mind you.
Where is the tail of the hardened imperial officer, post rebellion mind you, kicking mighty ass and keeping the peace. Or the badass fighter jockies, giving their own government the finger and kicking mighty ass? How about a new jedi order student, having his fill and attempting to stage a coup to bring an early end to the war?
I'm sick of these clean pressed heroes that don't have a bad bone in their body. When was the last time Han Solo did anything scoundrel-like? Never, they edited that part out.
